Where we work

60+ Cities Across Three Counties

Wayne County

Wayne County holds Michigan's oldest and most varied housing stock — from 1910s Detroit bungalows with original cast iron tubs to 1990s Canton subdivisions with builder-grade acrylic units. That range is exactly why we measure before we quote.

32 cities served →

Oakland County

Oakland County spans pre-war Royal Oak bungalows, mid-century Southfield ranches, and large Rochester Hills and West Bloomfield master suites with garden tubs. Most Oakland conversions are about reclaiming a tub nobody uses; a growing share are about staying in the house.

36 cities served →

Macomb County

Macomb County is the most consistent conversion market in the metro area. Warren, Roseville and Eastpointe are full of post-war ranches with nearly identical bathrooms, while Shelby and Macomb Township offer newer homes with oversized master garden tubs.

Why homeowners call us

We've Been Pulling Tubs Out of Detroit Bathrooms for 18 Years

Metro Detroit has some of the oldest housing stock in the country. A 1920s Royal Oak bungalow, a 1950s Warren ranch and a 2005 Macomb Township colonial are three completely different jobs, and the difference matters — a cast iron tub coming down a narrow 1920s staircase is not the same work as lifting out a fiberglass unit.

We've done all three, thousands of times. That's why we can usually give you an accurate price over the phone, and why we finish in a day when a general remodeler would take a week.

  • Fixed pricing. You get a number before we start, and that's the number.
  • We don't gut your bathroom. We work inside the tub footprint.
  • Licensed and insured, with grab bars anchored into real blocking.
  • Ella's Bubbles dealer — lifetime limited warranty, Dual Drain Technology.

Questions Metro Detroit Homeowners Ask Us

How much does a tub to shower conversion cost in Metro Detroit?

Our tub to shower conversions start at $6,995 installed. Bathtub cutouts start at $1,550 and walk-in bathtubs start at $12,995. The final number depends on the size of the alcove, whether the existing tub is cast iron or fiberglass, and which wall finish you choose. We give you a fixed price before any work starts — never an hourly rate.

How long does the work take?

Most jobs are done in one day. We arrive in the morning, the old tub comes out, the new base and walls go in, and we clean up and leave the same evening. Larger walk-in tub installs that need electrical work occasionally run into a second day, and we tell you that up front rather than on the day.

Do I have to tear out my whole bathroom?

No. That's the entire point of a conversion. We work inside the existing tub footprint, so your floor, vanity, toilet and most of your wall tile stay exactly where they are. A full remodel is a different job with a different price.

Is financing available?

Yes — financing is available with approved credit. It's the most common way our walk-in tub customers pay, and it turns a five-figure project into a monthly payment. Ask us when you call and we'll walk you through the options.

What areas do you cover?

Wayne, Oakland and Macomb County — 60+ cities including Detroit, Warren, Sterling Heights, Livonia, Troy, Dearborn, Clinton Township, Royal Oak, Westland and St. Clair Shores. See the full list of cities we serve.

Can a walk-in shower still work if someone in the house uses a wheelchair?

Yes. We install fully barrier-free roll-in bases with zero threshold, in 60″×30″, 60″×32″ and 60″×36″, along with L-shaped transfer walk-in tubs that open the whole end of the tub for a seated transfer. Tell us the situation and we'll spec it properly.

Ready for a Real Number?

Call and talk to someone who's done this a few thousand times. Most quotes take about five minutes on the phone.
